I visited とんぼ at around 10:30 PM after landing in the city, as it was one of the few places open late. The atmosphere was decent, but nothing extraordinary. The staff were friendly, which was a plus, and the service is also good. I tried a few dishes and all were okay—not the standout people will expect for a proper meal. Overall, it was a convenient choice, and a good place for a taste for late- night meal.

The quality of food is excellent. Quality chicken grilled just right. Can tell they are good at what they are specialised at just by the taste of the egg yolk. The recommended items are must-have. Excellent choice of nihonshu and beer too.

This place is a typical « izakaya » (居酒屋); a spot where Japanese people go to grab a drink, settle in, and get comfortable with their colleagues and/or friends. You get some drinks, choose your dishe(s) and enjoy some great time in a lively atmosphere. For tourists (without any Japanese language skills); be aware that everything is written in Japanese, so get studying or be ready to take some risk when ordering

We had chicken skewers, heart skewers, chicken leek skewers, salad, and a fried chicken dish. It was all delicious and filling. It was 2700¥ for all of the food. A very good price. I would recommend this place.
